The "Animal Mass" thingie is taken from bits of the "Richest Junkie" video, which was made back in '95 and directed by John Reis (who also directed the video for NIN's 'happiness in slavery' among other things). The "Richest Junkie" video is based loosely on aspects of Kubrick's "The Shining" and was shot in the hallways and rooms of the Ambassador Hotel in LA.
